Home Club Member Grace Cohen
The Figure Skating Club of Southern California is proud to introduce our ‘featured skater’: Grace Cohen. Nine year old Grace has been skating for four years now. She skates at the Toyota Sports Center and trains with many coaches, including Heather McLaughlin. Her favorite skating move is the double lutz jump, though her goal is to land her double axel when she is still nine years old. She has skated in many competitions at the preliminary level, including the Southwest/Pacific Regionals in Scottsdale, Arizona and Golden West, which she describes as "the big one," in Culver City, California.
When Grace isn't on the ice, she enjoys putting on shows with her neighbor on her front lawn. Her favorite food is chocolate cake, and her favorite skater is Sasha Cohen, because they "have the same last name" and because she's "an awesome skater." To all other skaters, Grace gives this piece of advice: "Have, fun work hard, [and] try your best."
Keep up the good work, Grace!
